The purpose of the project is to overhaul Paisiya Velichkovsky Street within the emergency area, from Luhova Street to the junction with Lysenko Street.
Motorway
The object of major repairs is “Paisiy Velichkovsky Street within the emergency area, from Luhova Street to the junction with Lysenko Street in Poltava”.
The design was carried out at the stage – Design.
The length of the project section is 316.0 m. On the entire project section, traffic is two-way.
The project section has 1 turning angle.
Design parameters of the highway:
- Road category – through;
- width of the carriageway – 6.0 m;
- width of the traffic lane – 3.0 m;
- number of traffic lanes – 2;
- width of the reinforced lane – 2×0.50 m;
- traffic – two-way;
- sidewalk width – 2.25 m (in accordance with the requirements of DSTU B ISO 21542:2013, for constant two-way traffic of low-mobility population groups, taking into account the installation of barrier-type road fencing on it).
According to Table 5.1 of DBN V.2.3-5:2018, the estimated speed of movement within the passage is 30 km/h.
The elements of the road plan and longitudinal profile are designed with parameters in accordance with the estimated speeds in accordance with the requirements of DBN V.2.3-5:2018.
Main technical indicators of the longitudinal profile:
- the largest longitudinal slope – 75 ‰
- the smallest radius of vertical curves:
- convex – 1000 m;
- concave – 5035 m.
The transverse profile of the carriageway is single-slope, the slope to the left is 25‰ (excluding sections of bends). The transverse slope of the sidewalk is 20‰ and directed towards the carriageway. Behind the sidewalk, a berm is planned to be poured with reinforcement by sowing grass on a layer of topsoil 15 cm thick, the transverse slope of the berm is 50‰ and directed towards the slope of the subgrade. The slope of the inner shoulder on the bend sections must be no less than the slope of the bend.
The slopes of the carriageway on bends are adopted in accordance with clause 5.1.10 of DBN V.2.3-4:2015, and are 37‰.
Within the framework of the installation of the retaining wall between the sidewalk and the retaining wall, a monolithic concrete reinforcement is provided, the transverse slope of the berm is 50 ‰ and is directed towards the sidewalk.
During the preparatory work, the slopes of the existing roadbed and the adjacent strip of green spaces are cleared.
Before the start of the excavation work, the vegetation layer is removed from the base of the project roadbed to a depth of 0.20 m.
The removed vegetation soil is partially used to strengthen the shoulders and slopes.
The project provides for the collection of surface water from the carriageway using side stones BR 100.30.18, from which water through water discharges through telescopic trays enters the rapid flow, after which it is drained to low places beyond the roadbed. Water discharges through open trays are arranged from concrete blocks B-5, the discharge tray is a platform reinforced with monolithic concrete. On the slopes, telescopic trays are arranged from prefabricated reinforced concrete blocks B-6 on a crushed stone base, after which surface water enters the rapid flow trays.
In the landslide area on the upper slope (to the right of the highway), the project provides for the installation of a deep water-intercepting drainage in order to prevent groundwater from entering the subgrade, which can overwet it.
Longitudinal drainage is a drainage trench filled with filter material with drainage elements. A perforated pipe with a diameter of 300 mm, sprinkled with crushed stone fr. 10-20 mm, was used as a drainage element. Water from the longitudinal drainage comes to the surface in a lowered place at PK 0+02.0 where it is planned to install an inspection well OK 1 with subsequent release into the culvert at the exit.
The project provides for the installation of inspection wells every 25-45 meters of drainage. Inspection wells are placed on the sidewalk, the top of the well should be located at the level of the sidewalk. The bottom of the drainage pipe is usually placed 0.20 m above the bottom of the well. The ends of the inlet and outlet pipes in the inspection well should be at different levels with a difference of at least 0.10 m. The fracture points of the longitudinal drainage profile coincide with the inspection wells.
The project area provides for the installation of 2 junctions:
- PK 2+17.7 – (right) junction to the monastery;
- PK 3+03.4 – (right) the project site is adjacent to Paisiya Velichkovsky St.
The design of the road surface at the junctions is adopted according to type 1. The road surface is arranged within the radius of the curves. Within the radius of the curves of the junctions, the sides are reinforced with crushed stone and grass seeding on a layer of topsoil 15 cm thick.
To ensure the unhindered movement of low-mobility groups of the population, the project provides for the following measures:
- sidewalk width – 2.25 m, taking into account the installation of a barrier-type road fence on it (the width of the passage exceeds 1.80 m);
- transverse slope of sidewalks – 20 ‰;
- curbstone BR 100.30.18 at pedestrian crossings is arranged at the same level as the carriageway.
