Reconstruction of the traffic interchange at the intersection of Bogatyrska Street and Polyarnaya Street in Obolonsky District

Overpass:

The project provides for the construction of an overpass, which is two separate structures for each direction of traffic, connected by a longitudinal expansion joint.

The longitudinal profile of the project area is designed on a vertical convex curve R=2500 m. Elevations decrease from support No. 4 to the beginning and end of the overpass. In plan, the overpass is located on a straight line.

The main parameters of the overpass:

• prefabricated monolithic temperature-continuous span structure according to the 4×31.0 m scheme;
• intermediate supports – reinforced concrete columnar grillage on a foundation of bored piles;
• piers – massive unfilled support walls on a foundation of bored piles;
• total bridge length – 125.75 m;
• roadway dimensions – 2×10.0 m with sidewalks 2×3.0 m; safety strips – 0.5 m each, dividing strip 1.7 m;

Retaining walls:

The project provides for the installation of six retaining walls at the facility, four of which form two left-turn exits of the interchange, two walls for each exit, two retaining walls form an embankment of approaches at the end of the overpass.
