Overhaul of the bridge over the Vorskla River on the national highway N-12 Sumy – Poltava km 137+602, Poltava region

The bridge over the Vorskla River is located at km 137+602 on the national highway N-12 Sumy – Poltava in the Poltava region. The bridge is designed on a straight section in plan, the longitudinal profile of the project section is designed as a gable with a decrease in elevations from support No. 6 to the beginning and end of the bridge.

Taking into account the task of adjusting the design documentation and the results of a special survey of the existing bridge, the working design provides for the construction of a new bridge using the existing piles on the extreme and intermediate supports.

The main parameters of the bridge after overhaul:

• construction scheme – 3×22.16 m + 3×22.16 m + 3×22.16 m, temperature-inseparable;
• length – 200.54 m;
• dimensions – G-9.5+2×0.75 m;
• loads: self-weight of structures, temporary from rolling stock – A15 and NK-100, temporary from pedestrians (as a vertical uniformly distributed 0.4 t/m2), wind (characteristic pressure W0=500 Pa), temperature and climatic.

After the bridge overhaul, the remaining service life of the bridge will be 80 years.
